2024 ENDORSED CANDIDATES
After a long process of vetting and much deliberation among those voting, Hartland Voters finally has its 2024 endorsed candidate list. Thank you to all who decided to run and participate in this vetting process. There really are a lot of great conservative candidates willing to serve our Hartland area community and it was a difficult decision to make with some candidates.
That said, please meet the candidates.
That said, please meet the candidates.
PRIMARY ELECTION (AUGUST 6)
HARTLAND TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE
Brett LUBESKI
Brett is a young entrepreneur and owns his own property management small business right here where he has lived his whole life. He and his family have been very active in our community for generations giving back to this area. Since Brett is invested in this community, his aim is to insure it’s overall success and plans to do that by supporting local Hartland businesses, supporting the needs of Hartland families, and helping to keep Hartland Twp fiscally responsible.
Denise O’CONNELL (incumbent)
Denise O’Connell Accomplishments 2024
Denise helped accomplish the following items as a Hartland Twp Trustee over the last four years of service.
* New Fire Truck for the HDFA
* Park and sidewalk improvements
* Completed sewer and water lines from east M-59 to village
* Reduced landscape regulations for businesses
* ARPA funds given to many non-profits in our community
Summer MCMULLEN (incumbent)
Summer McMullen Accomplishments 2024
“During my first term as your Trustee, I was able to reduce landscape zoning requirements and lower the Township Budget. As a trustee, my top priority is understanding and addressing the needs and concerns of our community. I share residents' concerns about increasing housing density and advocate for carefully evaluating future development proposals to ensure they are suitable for our neighborhoods. Additionally, I strongly
support improving our dining and shopping options to encourage social interaction and enhance our community. My goal is to promote thoughtful development that preserves our community's character, improves our quality of life, and represents the interests of our residents.”
Joseph PETRUCCI (incumbent)
Joseph Petrucci Accomplishments
“I truly feel that our most precious citizens in our community are our children. That’s why I started the Hartland Soccer Club in 1986. If we can help just one child become a better person then all the hard work is all worth it. I wrote the first business plan for the Teen Center along with the budget along with Joe Colianni who at the time was also on the Board. I am still on the Teen Center Board today. Kay Fountain has done an outstanding job orchestrating it and made it the success that it is. When I was first elected to the Board back in 2004 our Board was a mess. A few of us in the community recognized that something had to be done about the leadership in our community. Our citizens agreed with us, and a new Board was elected. Since 2004 I have always supported and voted on items in the best interest of the people of Hartland Township, never allowing self-interest to overcome my decisions. I will continue with that behavior.”
